On the other hand, renting a dumpster for spring cleaning is only a phone call away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the Right Size for a Spring Cleaning Dumpster?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So, what size dumpster should you rent? It can be hard to calculate exactly how much space you\u2019ll need, but you want to get the most bang for your buck. Let\u2019s break down the two most common rental sizes for the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10-yard roll-off:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have about three or four pickup trucks worth of debris to clear out, you likely only need a 10-yard dumpster<\/a>. The typical dimensions for a 10-yard roll-off are 13 feet long by 8 feet wide by 3.5 feet tall and they can hold two tons of debris. In other words, it would clear the area of about a two-car garage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20-yard roll-off:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a more intensive clean-out, a 20-yard roll-off may be your best bet. The 20-yard dumpster<\/a> is one of the most commonly rented dumpsters. They can handle three tons of debris and measure about 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 3.5 feet high. That\u2019s about six pickup truck beds or a three-car garage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep These Decluttering Tips in Mind<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t know where to start, decluttering can seem really daunting. This is especially true if you\u2019ve been accumulating items for a long time. But you\u2019re not alone! Here are a few decluttering tips to help you get started and stay on track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Ditch everything you never actually use.<\/strong> This tip sounds obvious, but it can be harder than it seems. Have you used it in the past 6 months? It may be useful to enlist the help of a friend or family member for an objective opinion on what\u2019s reasonable to keep.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Make it intuitive. <\/strong>Place organizational items in places where clutter naturally piles up. This way you avoid creating more work than necessary to keep things in their place.
