Las Vegas is one of the fastest-growing metros in the country, with roughly 2.3 million residents across Clark County and construction running year-round in the desert climate. The ZTERS team helps customers select and schedule the right container for any project, whether a Huntridge bungalow remodel, a tile roof tear-off in Centennial Hills, or a long-term commercial build near the Resort Corridor. With more than a decade of nationwide experience, ZTERS delivers a consistent standard of service in every market: the right container, delivered on schedule, at a competitive price, with dedicated customer support throughout the rental.
Types of Dumpsters for Rent in Las Vegas
ZTERS offers 9 dumpster sizes for Las Vegas projects, from small cleanouts to large construction jobs.

ZTERS' smallest standard. A go-to for heavy debris (dirt, rock, concrete, roof tile) and small Huntridge or Downtown bath and garage cleanouts.
Holds about 3 pickup truck loads or 50–70 trash bags. Footprint roughly one standard parking space. Heavy-debris configs can carry up to 10 tons.
Best for dirt and soil removal, brick and masonry, concrete demo, and asphalt shingles or roof tile. Also fits small bath remodels and garage cleanouts.
Our most-requested size for Las Vegas home renos. Low side walls let DIYers walk debris in for Summerlin kitchen and bath rehabs.
Holds 8–10 pickup truck loads or about 120 trash bags. Footprint roughly two parking spaces end-to-end.
Best for kitchen and bathroom remodels, whole-house decluttering, mid-size garage and attic cleanouts, mid-size landscaping, and roof replacements on smaller homes.
Largest standard roll-off. Built for major remodels in Henderson and Summerlin, new construction in Enterprise, and commercial cleanouts.
Holds about 12 pickup truck loads or 230–250 trash bags. The 8-ft walls make rear-door loading essential for bulky items.
Best for new construction, major demos, full kitchen-and-bath gut renos, and large commercial cleanouts. Note: dense debris (concrete, shingles) needs a heavy-debris bin instead.
Heavy-debris workhorse. Built for dirt, rock, concrete, and Las Vegas tile roof tear-offs where weight matters more than volume.
Holds 4–5 pickup truck loads or 60–85 trash bags. Generous weight allowance — heavy materials hit the weight cap long before they fill the volume.
Best for dirt and soil removal, brick and masonry, concrete demo, and asphalt shingles. Also fits single-room renos and basement cleanouts.
Bridges heavy-debris bins and mid-size cleanouts. Good fit for Spring Valley multi-room remodels and garage cleanouts with bulky items.
Holds about 4.5 pickup truck loads or 80–100 trash bags. Roughly the volume of 15 standard washing machines.
Best for multi-room remodels, flooring removal, garage cleanouts, light demo, larger landscaping, and deck builds. Heavy materials need a smaller heavy-debris bin.
Taller profile (6 ft walls) is ideal for bulky debris. Common for larger Las Vegas home renovations and bulky cleanouts.
Holds about 6 pickup truck loads or 80+ trash bags. The 6-ft walls mean heavy or bulky items load best through the rear swing door.
Best for larger home renovations, partial roof replacements, mid-sized construction, and hybrid residential and light-commercial jobs.
More vertical capacity than the 20-yard with a similar footprint. Built for office cleanouts, commercial remodels, and bulky debris.
Holds about 9 pickup truck loads. A meaningful step up from the 20-yard for projects that have more bulk than weight.
Best for residential renovations with bulky debris, office and commercial remodels, and large estate cleanouts.
Built for large Las Vegas jobs — full home renovations, estate cleanups, active construction sites, and commercial mixed debris.
Holds about 9 pickup truck loads or 170–190 trash bags. Footprint roughly two parking spaces end-to-end.
Best for whole-house cleanouts, large home demos, active construction, and commercial mixed debris. Note: cannot accept dirt, concrete, brick, or shingles.
Niche size between 30 and 40 yard — when 30 will overflow but you don't want to pay for a 40 you won't fill.
Holds about 10–11 pickup truck loads or 200+ trash bags.
Best for large home cleanouts where furniture and appliance volume drives the need, mid-to-large construction, and whole-house remodels with significant bulky debris.

Frequently Asked Questions
In most cases, no. If the dumpster sits entirely on private property, such as a driveway, yard, or private parking lot, no permit is required. This covers the majority of residential rentals in driveways from Centennial Hills to Henderson, including kitchen remodels, garage cleanouts, and most roof projects.
A permit is needed whenever any portion of the dumpster occupies public right-of-way, including the street, curb lane, sidewalk, or alley. Inside the City of Las Vegas, obstructions in the right-of-way are governed by Municipal Code Title 13.32 and require an encroachment/obstruction permit through the city's Department of Public Works at City Hall, 495 S. Main St. Much of the metro, including the Strip, Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, Winchester, and Whitney, is unincorporated Clark County, which runs its own encroachment permit program through Clark County Public Works at 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy., (702) 455-6000.
Henderson and North Las Vegas each have separate permit processes through their own public works departments. Master-planned communities such as Summerlin also enforce HOA placement rules on top of any government permit. If your project's jurisdiction is unclear, contact your ZTERS representative before scheduling.
Las Vegas dumpster costs can be impacted by dumpster size, local landfill fees, fuel prices, and any required permits. Las Vegas dumpster costs range from $389 for a 10 yard dumpster up to $664 for a 40 yard dumpster.
Each dumpster size includes a maximum allowable tonnage and 10-day rental period. If you need the dumpster longer, you can extend your rental period for an additional fee. Delivery costs average about $137 depending on distance, dumpster size, and current fuel prices. Here is an estimate of ZTERS Las Vegas dumpster prices by size:
| Dumpster Size | Low Estimate | High Estimate | Rental Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Yard | $389 | $595 | 10 days |
| 20 Yard | $320 | $504 | 10 days |
| 30 Yard | $343 | $526 | 10 days |
| 40 Yard | $481 | $664 | 10 days |
For most renters, the most efficient option is to have your hauler handle the permit. ZTERS files the right-of-way paperwork with the correct jurisdiction, includes the cost in your rental, and times approval to delivery.
If your address is inside the City of Las Vegas, encroachment/obstruction permits go through the Department of Public Works at City Hall, 495 S. Main St., Las Vegas, NV 89101; the city's main line is (702) 229-6011. If your address is in unincorporated Clark County (the Strip, Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, Winchester, Whitney), apply through Clark County Public Works at 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy., (702) 455-6000, open Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Henderson applications go through Henderson Public Works at (702) 267-3000, and North Las Vegas through its Public Works department at (702) 633-1200. Routine residential permits typically clear in about 3 to 5 business days; placements along the Resort Corridor or on high-traffic arterials can take longer because a traffic control plan may be required.
Yes, with the right permit for your jurisdiction. Inside the City of Las Vegas, Municipal Code Title 13.32 prohibits unpermitted obstructions in any public street, sidewalk, or alley, so a roll-off in the street requires an encroachment/obstruction permit from the city's Department of Public Works. In unincorporated Clark County, street placement requires an encroachment permit from Clark County Public Works.
Approved placements generally must include reflective markings, cones, or barricades and stay clear of fire hydrants, storm drains, driveways, intersections, bus stops, ADA ramps, and traffic signal sightlines. High-traffic corridors, downtown's Fremont East entertainment district, and the Resort Corridor may require a traffic control plan and additional review.
For most renters, the simplest path is to let ZTERS pull the permit at booking; the fee is rolled into the rental and approval lines up with delivery.
ZTERS provides service throughout the City of Las Vegas and the wider Clark County metro of roughly 2.3 million residents. City of Las Vegas neighborhoods: Downtown, the Arts District, Fremont East, Symphony Park, Huntridge, John S. Park, Rancho Charleston, the Medical District, Lone Mountain, Centennial Hills, Skye Canyon, Tule Springs, Summerlin North, Sun City Summerlin, Desert Shores, and The Lakes.
Coverage extends across unincorporated Clark County, including Paradise and the Strip, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Mountains Edge, Southern Highlands, Sunrise Manor, Winchester, and Whitney, plus Henderson (Green Valley, Anthem, Inspirada, Cadence), North Las Vegas (Aliante, Eldorado), Summerlin South, and Boulder City. If your project falls within a Las Vegas Valley zip code, ZTERS can almost certainly arrange delivery.
For private-property placements (driveways, yards, off-street commercial lots), same-day delivery is generally possible when an order is placed before 10 a.m. and the customer is flexible on size. Next-day delivery is more typical for orders placed later in the day. For routine planning, 2 to 3 business days is the safer estimate.
For street placements that require an encroachment permit from the City of Las Vegas or Clark County, plan on 3 to 5 business days, and longer along the Resort Corridor where traffic control review applies. Las Vegas builds year-round, so demand stays steady, but convention season and the cooler fall and spring months can tighten hauler capacity. Booking three to five days ahead provides flexibility on size, time window, and placement.
A single bathroom remodel typically fits in a 10 or 15 yard, with the 10 yard preferred when significant tile is being removed because dense debris is heavy. Full kitchen remodels and master bath guts usually call for a 20 yard. Multi-room renovations move to a 25 or 30 yard, and whole-house renovations and major demolitions fall in the 30 to 40 yard range.
Roof work is a key Las Vegas consideration: most valley homes carry concrete or clay tile roofs, and tile tear-offs are extremely heavy, so they belong in a 10 or 12 yard heavy-debris bin rather than a large container. Desert landscaping conversions that remove rock, gravel, or concrete also need heavy-debris bins. Summerlin, Anthem, and other HOA communities often restrict placement location and rental duration, so confirm rules before delivery. When choosing between two sizes, sizing up is usually the better value (the price difference is typically far smaller than the cost of a second haul).

"Great experience from the first phone conversation to the final pickup. Chantale is an amazing dispatcher. She took all my calls and got me the dumpster I needed. Both drivers were professional and courteous. They skillfully maneuvered the dumpster into and out of my driveway, not an easy task with a picket fence on one side and a big elm tree on the other. I am happy to recommend Zters."
