The holiday season is fast approaching, and in Houston, that means it’s time to dive into the enchanting world of the Houston Nutcracker Market. From November 9th to 12th, the NRG Center will transform into a winter wonderland, where visitors can explore an array of festive decorations, gourmet treats, unique gifts, and more.

Whether you’re a seasoned Houston Nutcracker Market enthusiast or a first-time visitor, this beloved tradition (dating back to 1981!) promises an unforgettable experience for all.

What’s in Store at the Houston Nutcracker Market?

While there’s so much to do and see at the Nutracker Market, the main draw is undoubtedly the massive market. It’s essentially a one-stop-shop for all of your holiday gift needs! According to the Market’s official website, there were over 270 merchants offering a wide variety of goodies.

Attendees can view the 2023 merchant floor plan ahead of time so they can make a beeline to their favorite spots. Or they can meander through the hundreds of stalls selling everything from handmade ornaments and candles to jewelry and adventure gear. It’s a surefire opportunity to cross everyone off your holiday shopping list.

In addition to the vendor market, there are numerous special events, including:

  • Wells Fargo Preview Party – featuring live entertainment, cocktails, and early access to the market
  • Saks Fifth Avenue Fashion Show & Luncheon
  • Macy’s Fashion Show & Luncheon
  • And more!

Fundraising for the Arts

Lovers of the arts will be pleased to know that a significant portion of all purchases at the Nutracker Market go to support the Houston Ballet. More from the official website:

Proceeds from each admission and special event ticket that you purchase, plus 11% of all the merchandise you buy, goes back to Houston Ballet, its Academy and scholarship programs.

Over the years, the Market has donated close to $88 million to the Ballet. These funds help sustain programming such as youth arts education, dance scholarships, and opportunities for students to enjoy performances.

How Much Are Nutcracker Market Tickets?

Attendees have multiple options when it comes to tickets and packages. Here’s a preview at the ticket costs:

  • General Admission: $20 (valid for one day’s entry)
